Inspired By My Clients

I realize I've been a bit MIA on here lately. It's because of the many exciting design projects happening in the studio. I will be showing you specifics as soon as I can. I promise, it's worth the wait! 

I am truly inspired by the diversity and work ethics of my clients. So many "get it done" people, expanding and marketing their businesses, or starting new ventures! I'm thrilled that I get to be a little part of all the excitement and positive energy! Lately I've been working with a realtor, a restauranteur,  a couple entrepreneurs, an author, a baker, a few bloggers... talented, devoted, hard-working people who are Getting It Done!!

With all of this excitement and positivity bouncing around the studio, I couldn't help but share a little of it with my readers, friends and family here in my journal. I've created a free printable so you, too, can be reminded to "Get It Done!".  You can either print it out on classic white paper or card stock, or use a fun scrapbook paper! Frame it or tack it up on your inspiration board. Maybe you know someone who needs a little encouragement. Go ahead and print a copy for them as well!

New Pre-Made Logos for March

Hello, friends! In my last journal post I told you I'd be uploading new pre-made logos into my shop. They're now available and ready to be customized (by me) with your blog or business name, in the colors of your choice. In case you're new to my journal, or need more information on pre-made logos, let me expand on the subject.

I create one of a kind logos for many businesses and blogs, but sometimes people are looking for a quicker design time or maybe a more financially gentle option. That's where the customizable, pre-made logos come in to play. These designs are already planned out by me, cost a fraction of an exclusive logo, and are customized with your name and color of choice, ready to use within three business days! These logo designs will be sold & redesigned no more than 10 times. That being stated, if you see a pre-made logo you love, and want it to be yours exclusively, the price is midway between the cost of the pre-made and the fully custom logo design. The only catch is you must be the first to purchase it.

To give you an example of a pre-made logo that I sold as an exclusive, you can read about The Simple Taste Kitchen to see the process. Bianca quickly grabbed the rights to my pre-made logo, "Salted Butter".  Within a few days she had a her personalized, brand new logo at about 1/2 the cost of a custom logo, which takes roughly two weeks once you get onto my design schedule.

Each month I'll design 2-4 new pre-made logos for the shop to keep the offerings freshly updated. This month, the new logos look like this...

New Printable Art in the Shop!

Hello everyone, and happy March! Even though it is still frigid outside, and two Winter storms hit us this week, I am feeling quite optimistic about Spring's arrival. Being able to say farewell to February just feels good! (sorry to all of my friends with February birthdays. xoxo) With Winter's cold grip nearly over, I have been inspired to add some fun, fresh, colorful artwork to my Etsy shop! These sweet pieces will brighten up  your office, dorm, nursery... anyplace you want to add a touch of color and whimsy. Take a look, and purchase some for your space or give as a gift! These would make a sweet Easter gift, don't you agree? 

Next week I will be adding several ready made logos that can be customized with your business or blog's name. Be sure to check back for their reveal!

In related logo news, I've just completed a logo design for a new restaurant opening soon in Connecticut! I am really excited to share the winning design with you, but I'll have to be a bit more patient until the restaurant opens.

I'm also in the process of designing logos for a brand new custom tour business opening in Connecticut, as well as a design for a community organization on Martha's Vineyard! I am loving all the new businesses that are opening and it gives me such joy to know I am a little part of these new beginnings. I look forward to sharing all of these custom designs, and more, over the next few weeks.

Spring will arrive again...

A Guest Room Checklist

There's nothing quite like going away on holiday. One gets to relax, read, have a sleep-in and just enjoy being pampered. When you're hosting overnight guests, set up your guest room to welcome your company with all the special amenities of a five-star resort. I've put together a checklist that will have any guest asking to stay just a bit longer.

First, the room basics; A well dressed bed, fresh linens, a reading corner, extra linens in the wardrobe and a clean side table for your guest's belongings.

I prefer a neutral color palette for a guest room. 

Offer your guests basics as well as specialty soaps, body scrubs and moisturizers! 

I like to offer full size bottles of basics like shampoo, conditioner, shower gels, etc. Extra special goodies, like under-eye creams or night oils for the face can be had for free at the makeup counter of your favorite department store when you ask for samples. It's fun to share brands that my guests may not be familiar with, like Organic Bath Co., which makes wonderful bath goodies that smell amazing and are gentle on your skin. 

Be sure to include items that your guests might need in a pinch.

Even if you don't have a designated "guest room", you can still put together a care package for your guests, and let them know you're happy to share your home with them.
